Who Collects It
The employer conducting your interview is the business collecting your personal information, for its own hiring purposes. Capifiq Inc operates the interview platform as a service provider and processes your information under that employer's instructions.
This page is the standing notice. The version specific to your interview, naming your employer and the exact periods that apply to you, is delivered with your consent document before your interview.
Categories Collected
- Identifiers: your name and, where you provide it, contact information.
- Audio, video and electronic communications: your interview audio and video, screen content you choose to share, and captions or a transcript.
- Professional or employment-related information: your responses, conduct and interview performance.
- Internet and device activity: technical information about the device and network used for the interview, collected to establish, assess and review interview integrity.
- Inferences, only where your employer has enabled analysis that produces them. Capifiq produces no candidate score, ranking or recommendation.
Sensitive Personal Information
Your interview recording contains your face and your voice. Some laws treat a face or a voice as biometric information in its own right, whether or not any further measurement is taken from it. Capifiq does not use it to infer characteristics about you, and does not use it for any purpose other than operating and verifying your interview.
Why It Is Collected
To arrange and conduct your interview, to establish, assess and review the integrity of that interview, to allow a person at your employer to review it afterwards, and to keep the records the law requires. It is not used to train artificial-intelligence models.
Sources
From your employer, when the interview is scheduled; from you, during the interview and when you complete your consent document; and from the device you use to take part.
How Long It Is Kept
Your employer sets the retention periods. Capifiq publishes no default. Where California or another state sets a maximum, that maximum applies even if your employer's setting is longer.

No Sale or Sharing
Capifiq does not sell your personal information and does not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Subprocessors are listed in the Data Processing Addendum and may use your information only to perform their function.
Your Rights
As a California resident you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and may limit the use of sensitive personal information. Where automated decisionmaking technology is used, you may opt out of it. There is a button to do so on your consent form, and using it does not cancel your interview or count against you.
Your employer decides these requests. Exercising a right will never be held against you.
